HRRR will burn you at this range, that's all I'm gonna say

I can’t argue with that at all. Hopefully it holds by say 16z tomorrow.

??

it went down for Wake County region.  Changeover to snow was delayed by 1-2 hours...  faster for triad which resulted in more snow there...  totals decreased for wake.

After a deep analysis, the 540 line progresses a little slower to the south, resulting in less totals for areas to the south, including southern wake, johnston county, cumberland, etc...  I believe this to be true based on prior events and the slow progression of that cold air.

My Local NWS has now mentioned a "backside event" for the Coastal (areas) here.. Thursday AM..

They added up to 1 inch for us now with a low of 32. Will be interesting to see what tomorrow will bring.

I don’t like it / don’t use it. Personal preference though

I definitely prefer the hi res NAM.

Hello all!  I've been lurking about on the Southeast forums for a bit and decided to make a post.  I hope we all see a decent brush of snow tomorrow night! :snowing: I'm liking what I am seeing from the HRRR, but is lack of moisture from the NAM something to be concerned about?  Which of the two is usually more reliable in the short range?

Is the NAM turning in to the new Dr. No? It has more moisture than last few runs but nowhere near the GFS or HRRR
