Larry Cosgrove, in his analogs for this winter has a very memorable La Nina winter in it....anyone remember '95-'96?

How can I not remember - 42" of snow in 6 days. That's a good way to break one's seasonal snow forecast in a week's time.

While not my favorite storm, the blizzard of '96 produced 30.5" where I lived. That still ranks #1 all time for my greatest snowfall event on record.

January 1996 was Top 3 Winter week in my lifetime!

Standard caveats apply here: we're HR100+, it's early season, etc. But y'all are looking good.

Everyone seems pretty bullish on this one. DT, the NWS, and even normally conservative WNEP up in Scranton. Not that it can't fall apart, but there's pretty good model AND forecast support to argue against a whiff.

I've been burned too many times outside of Jan/early Feb. I'm only expecting for an inch or two down here in NW Baltimore County and hope that we boom. It would be reallly nice to see something like 3" - 5" on the Christmas decorations.

Just to have something to track unlike last year is a blessing.
