I recall a couple weeks ago , runawayiceberg was bringing up his Pig concerns and that didn’t receive a warm welcome

Didn’t realize we were actually seeing a big pig for next couple weeks .

Close the shades all the way up

Every time guidance has shown a pig since early month, it hasn't materialized in any meaningful way.

This one looks a bit more robust but who knows. It's still in the 11-15 day.

My only contention was that I don't think it lasts all season....it should let up at some point in December before returning during January or February.

My analogs def. implied that it will be a factor this season.

If we were talking up day 11-15 blocking, there would be bun imprints on our forehead.

Yep, the usual suspects would say "oh here we go again!!!11! Always 10 days away!!!11!1!"

That said, this has been increasing in intensity as we inch closer the last couple days. So I think there's a good chance is materializes.

I’ve learned to let his nonsense go. Every single high wind event he downplays and everyone rips . This one no different. He did it for Iglesias too if you recall. Most towns not in a river valley like his area gusted 50-76mph. Even Bristol next to him ripped 57. We laugh , we let em go

Whatcha think?

You guys are too much. We could just as easily have a record-breaking snowfall season or futility. You just never know. Long -range forecasting is fun and sometimes useful, but it's glorified guesswork at this point. A month from now we could be staring down a split PV AND a monster -NAO, or a historic SE ridge and an Alaskan pig. Either is just as likely as the other.
