Already got the chains in the truck to pull people out. I’m expecting the roads to get bad since the sun went down already

Yeah my subaru just quit on me (engine misfire issue, no clue what the problem is) so I'm gonna be in my wife's two wheel drive for this event.

 

Came in from Boone to foscoe and they were getting rough during the downpour.

 

Yay.

I have lived here for the better part of 30 years and I can't recall snow coming down so quickly all at once. Usually it's a gradual increase as the column gets saturated off the Blue Ridge.  Today,  it went from nothing to low visibility in 20 minutes or less. Inch and a half of snow mostly fell in 90 minutes when the temperature was 38 to start off. Now 30.9. Something to remember
