A lot of roads flooded and impassable around Easton.  Also sounds like the small creeks that flow under Matthewstown road are close to overtopping the road.  My backyard is a lake.  Closing in on 5.0"

Gust to 67 at Virginia Beach

Seems gusts are staying fairly tame so far in the immediate areas. We'll see if they start to crank in the next hour or two.

The amount of tornado warnings being issued by the WFOs in our region is crazy today. We'll have to get the actual numbers later - but sure feels like we are going to (if we haven't already) pass our total of tor warnings for the entire year so far in just one day.

AKQ alone has issued 40 tornado warnings today, dating back to midnight. The office had issued just 4 tornado warnings all of 2020 before today. So much for the "low tornado threat" from the HLS issued yesterday from the local offices.

Tropical systems always tend to have a few surprises up their sleeves. I wonder how many idiots will try to drive through flood waters in the area today. I'm taking the under on winds though based on what we are seeing in obs so far.

Not a big deal around this way. I had a 68 mph gust 40 miles south of Va Beach. .89 in of rain. Only damage in this region was from small spin ups.

Are you all clear yet?  I think that cell has passed you but not sure.  My sister is in Owings.

I think so. We still have no power and skies have brightened a bit - not much wind just heavy rain.  Over 7" of rain and counting....

Flooding in nonexistent west of the bay and traffic is already low so probably few to none.

It would be hard to overstate how hard it’s raining.  Flash flood warning needs to be issued for dc and montco.
