You can see in the 700-400 RH field that  likely deform band is going  to crush the NYC metro and  a lot of New England and cause tons of power outages.   Good thing the GFS  has been the worst model this winter and it's 9 days out cause it's the last thing anyone needs right now.

Chilly for mid April around here is highs in the 50s- low 60s. Much rather that than a pattern that brings us 80s and humidity. Hopefully we can avoid a late freeze. A few nights in the 30s wouldn't hurt anything.

Not only that, the warmer than usual waters off the coast will serve to mute the cold somewhat, so we may end up with just a few days of 50s before it warms into the mid 60s
