Everyone is dying. 6 death certificates in the last 3 days on my desk, all from random reasons 50-70 age group. People that are waiting until retirement to enjoy life better forget that and go live now, tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Here we go, another lockdown incoming! only less than 60% people in the US are vaccined. We will not hit Biden goal by July 4th.

Pretty soon the 7-day average will be below 10,000. No lockdowns happening any time soon, friend.

I would be in favor of this..

The College Football Playoff management committee will consider expanding the current four-team field to a 12-team format when it meets in Chicago next week, marking the first step in what could be another historic change for the sport's postseason.

He hadn’t appeared in commercials for quite a while then most of his dealerships were sold so you knew something was up. I don’t think they revealed the cause of death.

So how do you Buf peeps feel about your new mayor? I didn't know anything about it until today, but seem she is a defund the police proponent. I'm concerned crime may be impacted if the defunding commences like in other cities.

I'm worried about our mayor here in NYC.

Over 70 percent is vaccinated in NY

An analysis by Public Health England (PHE), where the Delta variant is more widespread, found that both the Pfizer/BioNTech and AstraZeneca vaccines provide more than 90% protection against hospitalization from the Delta variant.

I’m a bit concerned.  I didn’t even know Tuesday was primary day.  Usually you see signs everywhere, mailers, news coverage… I don’t remember seeing anything till it was over.  Was like a non existent event in my part of the city.  Why does she keep saying “we won” and “we’re commin for you”?  Who is we, because we is not me.  Her one windfall is an estimate $300 million in cares act funding for the city which will be her one way of actually accomplishing her agenda.  She wants to have a means of “controlling” rent prices in the city and capping what renters can charge in certain neighborhoods.  She wants to end poverty with community gardens.  Her belief is that once the poverty is gone the crime will be gone.  She is going to classify the us as a Sanctuary City and she wants to create a new “public banking system”.  Her police reform plan would create a citizen oversight board that could open their own investigations. She wants Community policing, “we’re going to deploy resources into the community and let the neighborhoods decide how to use them”, with more mental health workers.  It will be interesting to see how the common council is willing to work with her.  She has already said she is making allies for the upcoming local elections.  Was looking to move back to the burbs in the near future but might be wanting to find a way to make that happen by the end of the year now.

Sounds like the Chinese cultural revolution...

I'm counting my blessings that we didn't move back to the city. All she will do is enabe. Yes some people will benefit from her socialist agenda and maybe make a better life for themselves but its been my experience that it will only make drug use and poverty worse. Just look at what's happening right now with worker shortages.

I've found that poverty is more of a mindset than a physical circumstance, especially in the US. Throwing money into 'projects' that don't address the root issues of this mindset will only prolong the situation and ultimately fail. That's partly why seemly 'helpful' socialist policies fail to remedy poverty every time.

Australia locking down for another 2 weeks due to the delta variant. Is that country really going for zero cases? Going to isolate itself forever?

Can't imagine what it's doing to their economy...and mental health.

Pretty sick of all the negative news about COVID as if they media needs to keep the story going for click bait. Every message I get from Yahoo News, for example, is some negative twist on the Delta variant. Here's one from Popular Science: "Australia's renewed lockdowns are a warning sign for the US" - yet less than 4% vaccinated in Aus vs 60%+ in the US. Not even a comparison IMHO.
