Congrats to all our peeps in GA and S.C. that scored today, especially the NW corner.  Who knew northern GA was the place to be for snow in the SE.  For the rest of us we better hope we can squeeze out a surprise this upcoming weekend.  Looks like the western trough and SE ridge come back with a vengeance the following week.

We are so far from a winter pattern it isnt even funny.  You look at what it going on in the mountain west and that tells you all you need to know.  Colorado is measuring every snowfall in multiple feet. Another record year out there.  And here we sit relying on freak events and perfect timing to satisfy cravings.

Its gonna be a rough 9 months to next November.  :(

NWP (Numerical Weather Prediction) continues to support the idea of a concentrated area of heavy rain this week over North Alabama. There will be a sharp cut-off on the southern periphery, most likely somewhere around I-20. Rain amounts of 4-6 inches are possible somewhere in that 60-100 mile wide strip, and flooding issues (both flash flooding and river flooding) are likely.

Most accurate comment of the day...

In other fantasy news... I'd take this look 10/10 and see what we could cook up. Won't happen but that's pretty

As crazy as this month has been already, who knows???  It is possible we could time up a winter storm on the backside of one of these monsoons since there is cold air in NA, albeit on the wrong side of the continent.
