Pretty good returns starting to fill in across N of pike....this is modeled to slowly fill in to the south too...at least by the short term guidance.

But, no way the entire state of CT could be in a  prolonged snow hole. No freaking way.

28.5F  Very light snow commencing

Unbelievable they cancelled school today for our entire district of 7 towns. 3" of dry powder snow feel last evening and ended for the most part around midnight.

Yesterday it was well forecasted  that we would be on the northern edge of the snow from round one.  Our county, Grafton was never in a winter storm warning but the school district decided to cancel school last evening anyhow.  Roads were well cleared by this morning.  Stupid decision.  Our snow was of the dry, powder variety, no mix, ice etc.   Probably tomorrow mornings community will be worse than this morning.  Wonder if they will call off school yet again?

Has that 4/1/97 vibe thus far, though less of a sharp cutoff across NNE

The precip hasn't been the issue here, plenty of that in the form of rain. It's been the temps.

I can just imagine the 33 and rain all night here in Boston proper which obviously includes KBOS. There's no waaaay we'll see the 6"-8" NWS forecast, no way. BTW no scientific reasoning behind that statement, just frustration from the last 24 hrs. Immediate coast has done horribly so far this storm
