Pretty vigorous snow shower here.  Quick coating on all surfaces after a cold day.  High was 35.

Same here.  Mod snow shower ongoing....nice fluffy dendrites with a good coating so far. Gusty WNW wind has it feeling like deep winter if only for 30 minutes or so. 29/21

My phone went off about 15 min ago.  Thought it was an Amber alert.  Snow Squall Warning until 2115!  Holy smokes!

We did pick up a coating but the line is to our south and I'm sure I'll see areas that are white in my rounds tomorrow as the rates are impressive.  Nothing like the Jan 25, 1985 event of course but at least I got an (official) squawk out of the box! :D

Snow squalls are no joke as anyone that lives where they frequent will tell you.  You're driving along and the next thing it's like your windscreen is wrapped in a white blanket!  It's quite a serious threat indeed!

Must have been an impressive event 34 years ago if you remember it to the day! Impressive memory!

Fozz used to live right around the bend from me...

I'm a bit late to this thread, but yeah, being west of 83 you're in a solid spot. You probably live in Mays Chapel, which is right near where I was for all those years. I'm guessing your average is around 26-28" especially if you're around 500'+. It's the ideal spot if you want good climo, but also don't want to be too far from Baltimore.

Some of these small marginal overnight events would have a solid coating to half inch, sometimes even over an inch, while the lower areas had next to nothing.
