...A period of light snow is possible overnight...

A weak disturbance will move across the region overnight. As it
crosses the region, a period of light snow is possible across the
District of Columbia, northern Virginia, central, northern and
western Maryland, and the eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. With
relatively warm road temperatures preceeding this event, limited
impacts are expected on roads, but bridges and non-paved surfaces
may become covered in a light coating of snow. Accumulations
should be less than one inch where they do occur.

Any snow should end by dawn Wednesday.

Guidance had been pretty consistent on weakening this snow band and confining the remnants to northern MD, but the 00z NAM and the Hi-Res Windows now bring a dusting all the way south to Montgomery/Howard Counties (and some even into northern part of DC/PG County).     Hoping to wake up to a coating here in southern Howard.

Even your snow sticks better.  Look how it can cling to the side of the wood on the deck railing!!!!!
