OKX sounding a little worried, def low confidence fx.

The other challenging factor is the transition back to snow
across the area on Wednesday. Using a consensus approach, this
changeover occurs across the Lower Hudson Valley and interior NE
NJ during the late morning hours, then works east in the
afternoon and evening hours. A changeover to all snow is
expected across much of the area by midnight. Timing of this
transition in conjunction with the deformation zone will be key
to the amount of snowfall that falls across the region. There
will likely be significant differences in snowfall amounts over
short distances. Forecast amount changes are highly likely as
this event unfolds.

So somebody got 30"?

The heaviest I have seen in ENY and so. VT is a number of 17" spots from Schenectady to far southern Saratoga County, and also an 18" on the Greens spine in so. VT.  I wonder if that is Mitch....  13.5" here...still in that belt of light to mod snowfall from northern Mass/southern VT west into central NY.

Yeah 0z Euro round 2 more like 2-4" rather than 6-16" on 12z run... suggests the fading trend is real

I'll leave the possibility for more with deformation further west and vortmaxes hard to pin down, and UK still huge, but it's tenuous

Sometimes these Messenger fades don't relent once they start

I'll do my last measure for the nighttime period in about 5 minutes.

I'm suprised scooter is shrugging it off...how many times do we see banding west of qpf max?

I believe we are seeing the ULL move East a bit faster which gives us only a little wiggle room

To be honest...i'm  interested and wouldn't sleep on some enhanced lift i'm seeing in models during the day tommorrow after 16-17z over N MA/S NH. Not light stuff

and its still pounding fatties here

Everything always scoots east late in game

Se of me

there was nothing several runs ago. Look at the second photo i just added. There is good lift along all of MA/NH border toward Route 2 into E MA showing so its definitely worth watching.

Other models like the UKIE /GEFS/ICON also had very solid periods of precip in our area for that time frame 18z to 0z now
