Washington DC is STILL gonna get SHELLACKED by deep frigid snow in Feb or March this year!

My forecast STILL stands!

And I like to think of myself as the optimistic one on these boards but Jeb you put me to shame.

Don't ever change Jeb, the world needs more of you out there.

ETA:  @WxWatcher007 -- do they get the same kind of accommodations that we get down here?

Unmarked graves up there. They don’t get premium accommodations. lol

Thank you for your call. The phone lines have been jammed for weeks, but the VIPs always get through.

Can’t believe people are posting in the long range thread.  It’s time for 60s/70s and daffodils .  Even if we get any snow now it’ll be lit on fire instantly by sun angle.  No point whatsoever.

Yep, any who start complaining or questioning why people are in the long range thread tracking should be reaped ASAP. Actually think that is one of the rules in the Reaper Handbook. But it being the busy season and the Reaper being woefully understaffed I guess we should cut him some slack.

Ouch - my heart bleeds.  Any snow is snow!  No matter what time of year it happens, nor how long it survives, snow is snow.  Even snow TV is snow.  Doesn't have to be dendrites, nor silver dollar in size, nor a white out.  Snow is snow is snow and we should worship any that mother nature can muster, no matter when nor how nor how long nor how deep....   it's SNOW!!!

The fluke snowfall in NC this week is enough to sustain me through the end of February, at which point SE weenies expire of natural causes.

i've got fam a few minutes from va beach.  looks like surface temps were a couple degrees too warm there for any good accumulation, but sounds like interior spots faired better (expected).

Yes, surface temps were a bummer.  I ended up with almost exactly 3" when I measured in the morning.  I lost a lot to melting.  I estimated 0.5 - 1" which matches well with NWS estimates, so I am going to call it 4".  If surface temps had been better could easily have been a 5" - 6" deal I think.  Still i consider myself very fortunate to have received anything at all in this record +++++++AO winter.  Especially in the second half of February.
