Under an intense snowband for the last several hours.  Now 9" near Grass Lake, MI.  I-94 West bound between Grass Lake and Jackson closed.

Local storm report says 6.5" for Spring Arbor MI (Jackson County). Interesting note: I lived on the SW side of Jackson for the Blizzard of '78. I was a baby. I believe there may have been 18" with drifts to 4 ft or 5 ft in that incredible storm.

Started slow and late here with a switch over from white rain to about 30 minutes of graupel before changing over to a fine light snow about an hour ago.  Had a pesky low level warm tongue that some of the models showed.  Under a decent band now vis down to 1/4 mile, still not impressive flake size but it's ripping pretty good.  Getting close to an inch of kitchen sink type stuff but this current band has started to cover the secondary roads.  Hoping the returns to the west keep filling in.  Be nice to hit 3 on the ground a coup if we can hit 5 lol.

The more you can score, the better chance with the record low shot, eh?

Measured 4.6” in Berkley as of 15 min ago. Still coming down good with a long while to go. 6 inches or more looking like a lock here. Good storm.

Up to 6.8” as of 20min ago and still going strong. Latest HRRR has an additional 4” for the Detroit area too.

May have to retract your prior post on the 10" amts.  I'd gladly take that bust any day :lmao:

I think we end up just short but it will be close. DTX just replied to me on twitter that the all time snowstorm for November is 9" for Detroit, we have a shot at that.

The northern burbs are probably gonna hit that. Not sure if the airport will but here’s to hoping it does!:snowing:

Wow! Super jealous of the overperformer!

Also, why have GRR's AFD's been garbage lately? They use to have a lot of information, now sometimes they are a paragraph for the full outlook- even when things aren't boring. Ie. stable.

I propose a cost-cutting measure. Break up their CWA to surrounding offices. I'd gladly be re-located to IWX

What an amazing snowstorm for November 11th. It is absolutely gorgeous outside. I was at 7" and counting about 20 minutes ago, through 7:00 p.m. DTW was at 7.6", which as stebo said, the all time November snowstorm record is 9.0", but this is actually already the 2nd largest November snowstorm on record. DTX NWS at 9.0"

Wow! Is that tornado in your profile pic from Michigan!?!?!?!?!!??!

It sure is!!!!1!1! I can change it to a certain Iowa tornado instead though.

Up to 8.9”. Beats the Nov 2015 slopstorm. Biggest November snow I’ve seen and it’s happening in the first half of the month.

Been out playing in it.  Ran into some 2 foot drifts in the country.  Stopped now about 4 inches.  That LES band is tickling down towards Kokomo now, friend up around Grissom said moderate snow started back up.  Need that thing to ramp up and come about 20 miles farther south so I can get 5 lol.  Not disappointed for 11/11, just hope don't have to pay the piper on the back end come DJF, 4-6 inchers have been hard to come by around here the last several years.  :weenie:

Wow that’s amazing! Do you mind if I forward it to accuweather with no credit to you? Thanks in advance!

Topically, I received 2.6” in Iowa City, with 4.1” measured in Hiawatha. I was hoping for a little more, but it’ll suffice for now.
