Big rains on cape cod are not really an issue nor that exciting.  1" of rain there versus 8" is the same deal, except for maybe some bigger puddles in urban areas that drain after an hour.  Place is all sand and no rivers it just sinks in.

It's mostly ponding of water and street flooding, it does flood on the Cape though. I lived it. A quick 2" of rain and my mother's street is under 1' of water

Bingo. I've seen some drama queens drawing perfect storm comps on social media.

Not much rain in the perfect storm though, totally a coastal event only. Winds inland were gales. This thing will again be a monster wave maker but with tides 2 feet less

I think this is bordering a bit anomalous for this time of year. Gust near 50 oR more are not really common this early. I’d say this is a pretty good event for at least ern and SE areas. Not trying to play geographical favorites, just saying.

You are going to get a lot of meh from inland folks but absolutely a good event SE SNE.
