Last 6 days in Nashville

95, 94, 97, 98, 98, 99

They had 1 day warmer than 95° in their history past 9/22 before this year. Unreal.

98F at DCA and 98F at BWI today.

That's obscene to me... near 100F in October.

It's still in the 90s as of last 7pm observations too... it's 50 degrees colder in my backyard.

Good God, that is obscene for October. Might be a monthly record at BWI.

Yeah I was curious about that.  Might do some digging or see if that NWS office has any climo stats out on social media.

I know it gets hot down there but 98's in October is on a whole other level, IMO.  Though to be honest I don't have a strong grasp on that climo.

Yup, it's a record high for the month at BWI. Previous record was 97 in 1941.

90s in October in Maryland were something that happened occasionally, especially early in the month, but weren't really all that common. But this is something else. Makes me so glad I was spared from that insane heat.

Holy shit at 103F!  That's beating the all-time monthly record by almost a 10-spot!

Never seen temps higher than 94F... Mother Nature says "hold my beer let me show you something..."

Why anyone would move or live down there is beyond me.

My brother had 98 today in Thomasville, GA. He said he’s about had it. He said he doesn’t think it rained at all in September. He moved back down there in 1999  I’m not sure he really will move back up here but he’s definitely think about the mountains along north Georgia or NC.
