Isle of cool tomorrow-Sat in a sea of warmth-no end in sight.    70/69 here this AM-feels like a July morning.

Really just Monday and then it looks like just intermittent AN days in a slightly BN regime for most of NE.

Looks like later in October the entire conus warms a bit.

we'll see-alot of these cool shots seem to moderate as we get closer in time.   Also, the further S and W one is, the bigger the +++ departures.... Sept finished +.2.5 here while further north was much closer to N.  (except BOS which has been discussed)

We uninstall and light pilots. Was  a fantastic summer started Memorial day weekend until today. Warm COC June, Hot July with only a couple of HHH days, warm COC Aug and a normal Sept with nice warm days and lots of ocean swells. Over 20 beach days. Fantastic

So much better than last summer.

I feel like I haven't seen that in years...even at augmented sites where a crash occurred. Some of the international ones have had it.

Also odd that they'd have few clouds at 100 ft from smoke, but 10 mile visibility? Unless the obs were edited or the visibility and ceiling are measured in different parts of the airfield.

Couldn't the ceilometer detect the fractional smoke layer a bit away from the station while the forward scattering vis sensor sees nothing between the beam emitter and the receiver?
