Getting my first squalls, lower cloud deck starting to move like I got a hurricane coming....gonna need a tor warning on that cell approaching Vanceboro luckily it stays south of me

Sounds like the same thing happened with the other warning as well.

1 SW Mar-Mac [Wayne Co, NC] EMERGENCY MNGR reports TORNADO at 1:52 PM EDT -- WAYNE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIAL REPORTS STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO A HOME AND BARN ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF MAR MAC, JUST NORTH OF HWY 13. THIS DAMAGE LOCATION IS WELL-CORRELATED WITH A CC DEPRESSION ON THE 0.2 DEGREE ELEVATION ANGLE OF THE KRAX WRS-88D.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM EDT FOR SOUTHERN
WILSON COUNTY...

At 410 PM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Wilson, or 15
miles west of Farmville, moving west at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Wilson, Kenly, Lucama, Stantonsburg, Black Creek, Saratoga and
Buckhorn Reservoir.

There's a video on Twitter of that tornado and it looked really big. I'm surprised at the size of tornados Dorian has generated, at least 3 of then looked like wedge tornadoes.

Over 2" here now. Rooftop gauge says 2.42", but it's about 10% heavy in intense rain. Raining too hard to spot check the CoCoRaHS tube.

The record I'm citing is the daily record for September 5, not the all-time record for daily precipitation. Sorry about any confusion my post might have created.

Getting regular gust into the 30's now, a lot more steady wind between squalls.....worried about that big one rotating in between Lookout and Hatteras as it pushes north its the one that has producing all the tornadic supercells...they are just lined up out there...

Had a reeeeally strong wind gust in midtown Raleigh. Lost power at the same time and saw a transformer blow on the street behind my house. Ugh

  was located near Winsteadville, or 23 miles east of River Road,
  moving northwest at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Washington, Belhaven, Pinetown, Ransomville, Pamlico Beach, Bunyan,
  Winsteadville, Sidney Crossroads, Terra Ceia, Yeatesville, Long

Storm total rainfalls from Hurricane Dorian include:

North Myrtle Beach, SC: 10.75" (yesterday had a daily record 10.39")
Wilmington, NC: 10.05"

Today, Elizabeth City, NC has picked up 4.34" rain through 7:45 am. The previous daily record was 2.60", which was set in 1968.

Picked up 4.35" from Dorian.  Gusts peaked out in the upper 30's mph range. North wind has gotten rid of the mugginess.

5.25" in Pikeville. The highest sustained wind was 37mph with gusts in the mid 40's.  Two downed trees in the neighborhood with 15 trees reported down on roadways in Wayne County per the 911 center.
