Most are. No one wants warmth and summer now

Who wants to turn on their heat? No one. Lets ease into winter, plenty time for winter. I guess if you enjoy watching it rain and cloudy with temps in the 40s 50s you will. No rush here for cold at all. I would rather save up all my cold for when it matters.

It’s fall. It’s supposed to be chilly. Not 75-90 and boring

You want 80 in early October; move. Lol

I don't "want" 80 in October....I just said I'd take it over 49F highs and scraping frost off my windshield every morning. Luckily we're not getting a lot of 80F in October...maybe 1 day?

Ideally, give me a high of 67-68F with lows in the upper 40s...that's nice crisp fall weather and it's easy to be outside in that.

I'll take colder weather as soon as it manifests some snow chances. So by Halloween and beyond it's fine to have real cold shots....though for more real snow, T-day is the cutoff. The Halloween-T-day period is usually the "first flakes" novelty and maybe a light accumulating event on car windshields and mulch.

And yes, Tip is right...what we want doesn't affect the weather one bit. DIT hasn't quite learned this yet after decades on the forum, but I think most understand it.

But we tend to delve into the desired outcome when the weather is boring.

As if any intelligent person doesn't know this? I fail to see anyone saying what they want to happen will happen. What I see is people stating their preferences.  This micro analysis of peeps posts is annoying.  We all have our bias no matter who you are, what your degree is,how young or old you are. I realize ACATT is a joke but fact is everyone has their preferences depending on the season.

Yeah, I'm fine with 60s and 70s from now till mid November.

When did protecting the environment become so political?  This is basic kindergarten level stuff.  Help preserve what we have so further generations can enjoy it as well.  Even if the world doesn’t end in 10 years, what’s the harm in doing a bit more to preserve or protect it?

I feel like you walk into a Pre-School and there’s a list of like 4 things on the wall they want you to learn or do:  Share with others, be nice to your neighbors, help people who are less fortunate than you, do your part to protect the natural world.

This isn’t radical stuff.  If a child can grasp how to share, take care of others, not be selfish, etc, the adults should be able to too.

When kids are hysterical crying the world is going to end before they grow up at rallies across the country/world, structured by the left then excused from School by leftist educators to attend, I find this deeply troubling. There has not been the anticipated global reaction to CC that Socialists wanted so now they have resorted to indoctrinating children through fear of extinction. I have nothing against protecting the environment but when all these kids are on anxiety drugs due to being told their demise is a certainty unless we eliminate CO2 from industry.. I have a huge problem with that.

I hope you’re joshing around. My desires only affect me, not the wx

What global reaction, may I ask, have the socialists been seeking? and to what end?

I agree with the chilly aspect. October in particular should have a chill in the air. Just seems right. But, what would you define as "boring" here?

I had a dream the other night we had a severe wx event...I don't remember all the details but I think I was in Danbury and there were tornado warnings and even a tornado  right outside. But I couldn't get to it b/c I couldn't get my shoes tied

Had you stuck with your Velcro strapped ones........

I had a dream that there was a nor'easter with 24hrs of 35F rain, and was disappointed to wake up to yet another warm, sunny, and otherwise pleasant day.
