Euro has some ( upper 40s) dewpoints showing up by Saturday.  Incredibly comfortable airmass incoming by the sounds of it . Many 70s highs showing up Fri-Sat on the globals. Bring it

Weird radar signature over the northern cheasapeak bay the past few sweeps. Looks like a bomb went off and sent out a outflow boundary in all directions.

Oh hello Slight Risk!

...Northern VA and vicinity this afternoon...
A small thunderstorm cluster and diffuse MCV will move eastward from
the eastern WV Panhandle across northern VA/MD this afternoon.
Surface heating in advance of this minor wave will contribute to
moderate buoyancy (MLCAPE near 2000 J/kg), and some loose clustering
of storms is expected this afternoon. Steep low-level lapse rates
and DCAPE near 1000 J/kg will favor occasional downbursts with some
   potential for wind damage.

Uh oh. That means it is not going to rain. lol We want a slight chance of rain for a high chance of rain. This is summer in the Upsidedown.

Looks like a cell popping up in Charles County along some kind of surface convergence.  Quick uptick in CG with it as well.

Three straight 95+ in later August is pretty good.

Yup.  Reminds me of August 2016.

The cells just west of Moorefield, WV and north of Forks of Cacapon, WV look healthy.

I'm expecting storms later.

Nope. Gonna be yet another pathetic storm day. Storms to my south over and over again. Can't get anything good, we can settle for moderate drought at this point as the nearby creek is about a half foot lower than it usually is.
