I keep hearing but but but UHI when I bring this up. Yes they have UHI but the climo has it baked in. I’m talking departure s relative to other sites nearby.

69/68  Mostly sunny.  Still really hazy and winds are near calm.  This cold front doesn't seem like it has much push southbound right now.  Low dews are just north of me but not moving in here very fast.

2nd line of convection developed north of the first line that missed me.  Gave me .20" which brings August rainfall up to just under .40"

Yeah, same as BTV.  The valley windy climate should be baked into it already.  It’s not a rad cooling site.  But climo knows that.

However when that’s +1.5 or whatever and the rest of the northern VT ASOS stations are -1.5 to -2.5 it makes you go hmmm.

Looks like .01 here lol

Just enough moisture to keep dews up and do nothing water-wise.

Noyes “ in house “ model this morning before I left for office had a band of 3-4” here up to Woodstock. What a loss for him

It was evident last night it would slide south.

We use that app to estimate speeds on the Zipline at Stowe.  Staff can get into the 80+mph range.  We tested it with a radar gun from a baseball/pitching scout who happened to be staying at The Lodge...the app’s speeds were more accurate than I would’ve guessed.  Within 10mph, which seemed impressive for a phone GPS.

Completely off topic....

Managed to get at least two flying animals (bird/bat/both) into the house through a screen that had slid open.  Managed to get one cornered in my office (and got the window opened) and the other seems to be in the master bedroom.  Hopefullly there aren't more!

Ugh!

EPS is less of a torch, but on the edge of the heat dome next week. If euro op verifies, one of the hottest stretches of summer. EPS is a less wild.

Was 66F in the bedroom this morning with the fan on all night. 59F for a low. HIE snuck in a 43F.

However, it does look like summer comes back and stays for awhile starting next week. That's a lock. Torchtember to start.
