No it isnt.  DCA is 6 degrees below the point and click.  Hope the rest of the weekend pans out.  Mowed the lawn and weeded outside and it isn't the end of the world.

DCA’s point and click was 99, right?  Above most guidance.  They’ve been to at least 96 or 97.  Not sure what math makes that 6 degrees.

They're reporting 93° on the RWRLWX

It has been bouncing due to the river wind.

Today has the classic markings of the first day of big heat.  Warm air advection leading to temperatures staying near their peak well into the very late afternoon.

Temp is 89, and DP at 77 at 530. Going to be a super muggy night.

Low temp here might get down to 76-77. Likely will be close to or even above 80 in the urban areas.

DCA and IAD: 96

BWI: 97

Should add a few more tomorrow.  Enough for 100?  Will be close.

Bonus ob:  95/81 on the 5 minute report from Minneapolis

That is pretty awful. Probably slightly worse than it will feel here the next couple days.

Think I hit 100 degrees here in the mini UHI in Greensboro tomorrow and Sunday

I predict a max of 96 here the next 2 days, vs. the forecast highs of 98 and 99. Always take the under on extreme heat in the sticks.

Today's forecast high was 97, actual high 93.

High of 93, lower than I expected today.

Here as well but with the dew at 79 all day it didn't much matter . Nasty stuff

Edit..

Cant remember a 80 dewpoint this late in the evening.  Maybe its happened up here I'm sure...but I can't remember it if so.

88/80

Yea I don't see how any of the big three get 100 this weekend.  Unless we jackpot a SW wind with +30 air and no clouds we don't do it.

91 at 9pm is a good sign for big heat the next day, 100 doable IMO.

Watching a spider build a web on my front porch. it's strangely relaxing to watch a spider build a web from a safe distance

A lot of debris clouds drifting south from PA.  Might help us stay up overnight but they better clear out by sunrise tomorrow.
