Well we certainly beat that today!  The last I checked JFK had a DP of 78!  Did they get to 80?

JFK had a DP of 79 for a couple hrs.  I dunno if they keep records of dew point between hourly obs.

Looks like hotter times continuing/ahead for sure with both Mt.Holly and Upton NWS offices forecasting high temperatures in the upper 80's starting on Tuesday increasing to the lower 90's by next Sunday. I was also surprised to see Mt.Holly mention we could possibly be affected by moisture from what could become a tropical system down in the Gulf later this week but there is still plenty of uncertainty with that this far out.

83° hi today...currently  sitting at the low for the day at 71°.

81.4F was all I could muster here. Mostly cloudy until about 2pm; thereupon, the easterly flow strengthened. Was actually a pleasant evening. Low-mid 70s at Belmar on the coast.

Another upton bust low on the highs. Last two weeks almost daily. Forecast was 77 hit 84. Embarrassing the day of

I really don't even pay attention to the temp forecasts in the point and click...like you said, I often find them off . I'll usually use the Nam and apply my 59 years of living here and take it from there.

Yep I had the same forecast. Eventually around 1pm it was upped to 80 but I still finished with a high of 83.8 (84).

I find they are more accurate in the winter. Summer I just presume they are 3-4 too low, especially out here.

its pathetic when Islip is sitting at 83 and the forecast high is 77.

Yea still too low. Seems like for whatever reason your temp issue has been resolved.  We’ve been neck and neck past week.

Looks like we may add on 5 or 6 90 degree days out here by end of July.

This was the driest first week of July since 2010 in NYC. It’s odd since it was cooler with much higher humidity that the first week of July in 2010. Overall, it was the 4th lowest rainfall amount on record. Other stations like ISP had similarly dry conditions.

No rain this month so far (7 full days), my current longest dry streak this year is 8 days in both January and March. Hoping these showers fail to drop anything measurable this morning, to set a new streak.

Last July started out bone dry as well.
