Very noticeable, the past 2 days all the farms have started irrigating.

I have standing water from the nearly 3" of rain I had yesterday. I'll be staying out of the drought thread for a while.

What a difference a year makes!!!

We had a no precip stretch last year that torched my lawn during the wettest year on record.  It happens.

This is probably the last rain we see until next Saturday...

There is a chance of showers and storms from Wednesday on...

0.37" for the month of July. My yard is a dust bowl. Missed storms by a few miles in every direction, in every possible way. Splitting/disintegrating lines right on my doorstep. Torrential pulsers and training backbuilders with flooding literally 2 miles away, lots of thunder, but no rain here. Uncanny. When will the worm turn?

Is it appropriate to start posting back in here yet?  2.21 for July, 0.02 over the past two weeks.

I think it is. At least for my backyard.

A tenth of an inch from this strong, slow moving cold front- with multiple waves- slamming into a hot, humid air-mass. With no real rain in sight, my dry spell is heading into abnormally dry territory.

2.45" for July.

eta- 2.55" with one last gasp shower. Total of 0.2" with the mighty front that ended the big July heat.

I'm surprised how fast it got bone dry here. It looks like it hasn't rained all summer. The trees are dropping leaves like crazy and the grass is torched even in shaded areas. Doesn't look like any releaf today.

Will it ever rain again?

I was in Federalsburg area today and it was looking really bad in that area. It's really dry in spots all around the eastern shore.
