Glad I was living in Iowa for that one.

Yeah, it's a joke in comparison. I'm looking for a legit thunderstorm to track.

I still think the pre-frontal is going to screw us. Maybe SE CT would be able to capitalize a bit better. Maybe a RI special coming

I do like how the extended HRRR (whatever you want to call it) looks good though. I’ve found that to be pretty solid

If there's an EF4 tornado anywhere in SNE tomorrow the only similarity to 1953 it will have is that both happen to be rotating columns of air ...

1008 mb low vs 996 mb low. I'm sure the wind fields are totally the same too.

Yeah decent morning storms near BOS and south. Should see some breaks later this morning. Still a little uncertain how this aftn plays out.

First booms of the year in Duxbury. Was just heading out for a swim in the bay. Change of plans.

Some flashes and thunder with the showers here this morning.  torrentlal attm.

Hoping for a break for mowing later.

Between crappy weekend weather, the 'honey-due' list, and trying to find some down time during my weekend, I've started to out-source my lawn mowing to a hard-working, industrious young man/next door neighbor.

Picked up .23" in perhaps a total of 1/2 hour of heavy rain.  Sky is brightening to the east--would rather be seeing more breaks to the west.
