Agreed.  And, even the hot days from a few days ago were not that bad because the humidity was so low and there was a constant breeze.  Maybe there's something to be said for that dry heat they have in Arizona...

Had a very brief but heavy shower earlier that amounted to .01". Currently very windy and 80/70. Humidity at 70%. Feels soupy out there.

Looks like Columbia is gonna miss out AGAIN. Big line of storms developed east of here again. Stuff back in GA is looking pretty pathetic. I'm beginning to think this "wet" pattern is gonna flop big time. :weep::fulltilt:

Light rain about 5 pm, then the sun came out followed by a black pall descending from the sky followed by some torrential rain and wind.  Relatively brief but still got a good 1.33".  Yard is in recovery mode from the Ridge of Death.

73/72 here.

1.58" on Wednesday.

Nothing here. I ran into some heavy rain in north Raleigh, but nothing when I go up to the house. The haves and the have nots......

RAH is still banging the drums for a lot of rain this weekend into next week. I missed out on so many chances this last week, I'm at a "I'll believe it when I see" attitude.

Exactly. I'm in the same situation. I have been literally in every direction the last several days or so. I'm also of the same attitude that I will believe it when it's falling from the sky. I haven't picked up measurable rain since the second week of May.

Had an unwarned severe storm in western pitt county yesterday. The rainfall was incredible.

That's how our storms have been, too. Very heavy/tropical. And a lot in a short period of time.

Numerous streets flooded I could smell broken pines and no stw or flash flood warning. This is why people should call in more reports. Water was across several roads and nobody had been warned about the area and could have driven into dangerous conditions.

The wet weekend has begun here in Hickory as of about an hour ago.  I'm expecting upwards of 4 inches of rainfall when all is said and done, but we'll see if it all materializes as forecasted.  So much for hiking this weekend in WNC...  I'm glad I got the lawn mowed yesterday evening after work.

Just picked up .20" from a brief but heavy shower and afterward the humidity and dew point shot up. Currently it is 79/77. Humidity at 90%. Very uncomfortable out there.

The dry streak here officially ended this morning. Currently a thunderstorm with heavy rain. 73 degrees.                                Edit. These storms are producing some insane rain rates. Already close to 1.4 inches has fallen.
