The main takeaway is that nothing currently suggests that these storms are going to hit a brick wall and just completely dissipate until they are at the immediate shore.

High shear, low CAPE type storms with a strong frontal boundary in place, so I think we will get a good smack especially just S/W of the city.

That Pa storm is about as strong as you will sea in the NE.

The marine influence did not stop the storms last night as they went ballistic over the ocean. We shall see if that happens again

New warning is for 70mph winds and ping pong sized hail.

How can radar tell the difference between a rotating supercell and a tornado? Do we give all rotating supercells tornado warnings?

It's at the discretion of the local NWS office. Sometimes when you have broad rotation they will wait to issue the warning until the couplet shows signs of tightening or the radar gives other indications that a tornado might be forming.

I don't recall anytime in the past 20 years where I've seen so many tornado warnings in such rapid fire succession.

It may be the most in such a short period of time since the May 98 high risk day. Probably a new record for two consecutive days.
