Although warmer than normal, April ended slightly wetter than normal with a total of 4.22" for the month. It marks the 6th consecutive month at DAY with above-normal precipitation.

Almost 3" in 7 hours at DTW, we might make a run at the most rain in 24 hours at this rate, also Flash Flood Warning issued for Wayne County

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Wayne County in southeastern Michigan...

* Until 645 AM EDT.

* At 249 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  heavy rain falling across the warned area. Up to two and one half
  inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is already
  occurring.

Whats funny is that as of 8pm Apr 30 Detroit wasnt in even in top 20 wettest Aprils. Then 4 hours of downpours later, it was 3rd wettest

Detroit: +2.92"

Chicago O'Hare: +2.64"

Fort Wayne: +2.03"

South Bend: +1.65"

Indianapolis: +1.15"

Is it too wet for the corn yet?

In many areas, yes.

My April precip total is 3.77", nowhere close to what Cyclone received.  We had plenty of rainy days, but we received mostly light to moderate rain.  Much of the thunderstorm action remained south and east.
