You out 50 or 522?  That is an area we are looking when we move (hopefully) next year.  Ideally, we'd find a place somewhere on top of North Mountain, but there is isn't much up there.  LOL.

Elevation certainly helps, but conditions even in the valley improve north of Rt. 50.  Wife works at the school board office on Amherst.  I hear it every event.

522 just NW of Lake Holiday. It is gorgeous out here. And it is just ripping dime sized dendrites right now.

Ice pellets and mangled flakes trying to mix in here in NW DC. Closest weather station has the temp down to 34. It was 39 at noon.

DCA is still @ 40 lol

Had been mangled flakes mixed with rain for the last 30-45 minutes in Haymarket, but now snow is starting to dominate the mix.

Heavy snow. Sticking to cars trees and sidewalks beginning to cave. LMAO at the “it won’t stick bc it was too warm” crowd.

Fawn Grove, PA (right over the border above Harford County, MD).  38 degrees with very pretty snow which has been falling for about twenty minutes now.  Right now there's no stickage--it's just making the driveway wet.

So temp was up to 37 earlier with 28dp. Temp crashed to 33 but dp actually dropped to 27.  Precip must have mixed down some of that “dryer” air that was above the surface.

Huge flakes too. Surprised.

Sometimes straddling the line can lead to big flakes.....and surprises. Fingers crossed.

Climo...I live Dundalk by the bay, and it’s not sticking. Zone forecast is now less than 1”

Surprised to see a light snow/sleet/rain mix here in Arlington. Temperature at 38 and won't go down too much so I doubt we'll se an y accumulation. But snow tv is better than rain, I guess?

Or the dewpoint reading maybe off by a couple degrees.

Once it starts... Temp will drop fast...I went from 37 to 33 in 30 minutes

heavier rates can overcome surface temp issues.  the problem, at least closer to the city, is that without it ripping it's just a bunch of wet pavement.

33/30 with mod snow falling ...nice coating on all surfaces except asphalt but edges of pavement starting to cave .

That current mslp strength per meso someone posted a bit ago looks weaker then guidance had it so we'll see how that effects us later...not sure
