I wouldn't call it a coating, more like a slushy film starting to cover grassy areas.

I'm not laughing at your pain, but you can be pretty funny at times.

And I do hope you get a few hours of plastering snow this evening!!!

Snow mixing in with rain here in Ardmore. I’m going to presume that’s the meaning of “white rain”?

Yup.  My sister not far from you in Upper Darby texted to say she was getting "thick rain" and I told her we call it "white rain" and she laughed saying she knew we had a term for it. :D

White rain is snow that melts when hitting the ground. Essentially doesnt accumulate so it's the equivalent of just rain....but the flakes are white .

Since we r discussing, does anyone know what Purple Rain is? Asking for a friend.

Just reached the magic 33F mark, which is where I figure the temp will be resting. DP is 30F, so maybe 32F is attainable? Moderate steady snow falling, flake size is moderate also. Getting beautiful out there.

Just saw a snowflake mixing in. One flake. A single flake. And then it was gone.

Mixing here more and more...50% snow
