A rare flake in Fenway area.

TWC's deadly Winter Storm Petra will drop 3-5" in Boston on TV screens.

Meanwhile outside, 1-3" for Boston metro limited by crappy snowgrowth to start and its taking time to saturate. DPs in metro area still 10-15C.

Cross-model support for some decent lift in DGZ ~5z just before mix to sleet/fzra when our best accumulation should happen.

Futility at KBOS will most likely end by 12-1am unless we are now measuring on a plank placed over steaming sewage.

That’s pretty dam good no?

Its amazing really. I only experienced 2 above average winters 1990 through 1999. Not too sure about the 80s.

Still time for a miracle in March, but my gut says suppressed pattern then warm up.

I guess there is a benefit to having a low snowfall average (30 to 35 is my range)

Maybe he meant decade. Cuz 14 to 5 is pretty dam good.

Nope only below average winters this century are 2001/2. 2006/7. 2007/8 and 2011/12. This will probably be the 5th.

2015/16 reached average as well as 2005/06

All the rest above average.

I lived in Norwalk in 2009/10, where sw CT was the only area to score big that winter.

Your post seemed like you were excited heading towards your 5th below avg, so I thought you were being sarcastic.

Ha. Yeah will be my 5th below average this century which is great, and really overdue. I guess a miracle like 2005/6 can happen with a 20 incher to get me to average range, but doubtful of course.
