2/19-20 Winter Storm Observations

Recommended Posts

This has been a great event... some of the hardest snow I've seen in a long time this morning around 9a in northern AACo... visibility was almost zero...

Nearing 3" in Crofton.  Still ripping, though the snow is definitely riming. No pingers yet.

Mix of snow, pingers and rimed flaked for the last 30 mins. 3.75" and 28 degrees in Wheaton/Kemp Mill. There looks to be some heavies heading this way which will hopefully flip us back to more snow than ip.

CC radar looks like the mix line is washing out with the heavy stuff coming in. Should be mostly or all snow with that.

Definitely sounded like thunder but don't see any lightning strikes on the maps.
We got Thunder Snow here! 6" and still all snow just north of Martinsburg.
