2/19-20 Winter Storm Observations

Recommended Posts

9:25 am. 3.1 in Indy Hill PWC VA. Showery snow is indeed mixed with sleet. Very light. Very little return overhead. As expected.  Need healthier returns.

Edit: However,  my temp is down to a low of 29.1 and my dp is 27 and falling. Predominant wind from ENE.

Snow just started in Middletown, DE., I am a few miles from the C and D canal, close to the MD state line.

I'm eyeballing about 2 to 2.5 inches on the hedges in South Arlington.

About to get ready to officially measure.

That is just ridiculous! Just WOW!!!!!!! Congrats!

Thanks!

We got some legit low visibilities from that first deathband. Looks like about 1/8 of a mile.

3.1" here. Already met the forecast of 2-4" (primarily by CWG). Anything from here on out is gravy. 20.1" on the year!!

My radar confirmed lightening up near Hagerstown. Boy, would I love that down here. I think the band moving east toward Winchester may have some good stuff for us.

Left house at 8am w/approx 1" OTG, roads covered, mod snow and temp at 31.3 (down from high of 31.7)

Got home 9:15am, approx 3"-3.5" OTG now; steady, mod snow, temp fell to 27.9.

Driving sucks but is certainly doable altho am not recommending it.  Route 108, a local main road, is covered with a few inches.
