I’ll be the first to tell you as a Met for nearly 19 years I’ve busted my fair share of events. We all do. It’s just part of life. Forecasting an inexact science with imperfect models and in the middle of the night. I blew the Jan event. But I’ve seen a trend with private Mets to make a call the day of the event. Why not give it a try 2-3 days out, lock into the meteorology, see the pattern, let it load. I like CAD patterns. It’s not the thrill of a coastal bomb, but it gets the job done.

Also, I’ve gotten more conservative with time. Experience and the school of hard knocks. Live and learn, so more pessimistic until a threat comes into view.
