sitting right at 2", and snow growth has deteriorated considerably so I can expect sleet soon, man I was hoping for at least 4 before flipping...16*/8* and -SN

The sleet will add an inch or so...our 2-4” statewide call looks on track.

Yup pixie dust city...I started the day at 25.3 with a dew as low as -13.3, and right around 11, the dew shot up and the temp dropped, I am trying to post the graph from my station shows when we wet bulbed, pretty cool.

Yeah, gonna suck to clean, my first call days ago was 4-8, would have been nice if no taint happened and an all snow event region wide happened at least once this winter.

Snow groth has actually improved in the last 10 minutes, and the spot I cleared has about a 1/4" on it from about a half hour ago, it still looks like all SN, but not as good as it could be...man it's cold out there. Also I finally changed my sig, I think, let me know if it shows up goo on the desktop version please. TIA

Ramping up nicely and obviously easily accumulating.  First of several snows in the next 2 weeks.

That escalated quickly.

Just drove from Waltham to Needham on 128 and it's sticking to everything.

Commute is going to be a disaster later.

Fenway area: Onset ~ 1:30pm, ramped up quickly and sticking to everything.

I was calling 3-6" here and Boston metro, riding the NAM, and the HRRR trends make me think closer to 6" is possible.

Expecting changeover to sleet between 0z-1z

Better snowgrowth soundings look to come in by 21z, will be a fun commute.

It's like someone is dumping out a giant box of baking powder overhead. Heavy snow 1/4 vis despite the baking powder flakes.

It’s likely a good sign for you guys that the sleet line is getting pushed back in my area (central Long Island). Still all snow here and coming down moderate after sleet charged in pretty fast initially.

Def has the "running into a brick wall" look....good for big fronto and rates.

I took a nice fall earlier on powder polished ice. I'm fine but feet went right out from under me, luckily he went butt, back, head in order of impact.  Just a reminder that all the ice patches are now covered and polished. Time to put the creepers on my boots.

Interesting. All sleet up here north of New Haven.
