Snow lasted for about 4 hours here at work in Manchester. Picked up maybe 2".  Sleet kicked in at about 3pm.  Just a meh-fest as expected.

Am leaving in a few minutes and will see what it's like out in Brooklyn soon.

As Will pointed out earlier it’s like someone is dumping a box of baking soda out of the sky any change in this flake size expected?

Best lift is below DGZ... this looks to improve somewhat in the next few hours

SWFE FTL when it comes to flake production. Lift is below the DGZ.

Ya that’s what I think will happen. We will get a few hours as the sleet line gets closer and our DP’s rise. Lawn is covered now so that’s a win. Shoveling this stuff before I go to bed will be another win because it will be a heavy mess in the AM.

19z HRRR shows a good fight resisting sleet advance near the CT-MA border 22z-23z

Still reaches Boston area between 0z-1z

19.9. It’s a sleet/zr mix with pixie dust too

John Bagioni reported that in Burlington too.

Was similar here when I arrived in downtown New York City about an hour ago.

There’s actually already zr falling with the sleet

I noticed that a little while ago. Mostly pingers, but definitely a little zr in there. Temp up to 23.
