+1. Best snow tires out there. They make driving in the snow and ice a revelation.

They really help.  I was torn between trading in the van for an AWD vehicle or putting snow tires on it.  I think Blizzaks on a FWD are probably just as good, if not better, than all-season tires on an AWD.

Radar looks good for back home HoCo friends. Any confirmation?

Back to pixie dust here in greenbelt with some subsidence south of that band.

It's light, but steady just south of Rt. 40 a few miles north of your house.  Really pretty out though with a freshened look to everything.

Really confused what good closing schools early on a day like today accomplishes, with this forecast. If anything, won’t schools be releasing students into worse conditions than they would at regular closing time, considering snow supposed to end by later afternoon at latest?

But what happens if they go a full day and offices let our early?  Then you have major gridlock.

I object to the title....it needs to have somewhere in there the fact that we snow despite the crappy pattern and it also needs to say something about over performer AWT

I'd like to reiterate my protest to the title of this here thread
