The latest NWS forecast for Toledo says high 17, low 7. This would be a 25 below average for the high, 18 below average for the low. Lake enhancement/banding has been really common this season especially compared to recent years. You can make an argument for 2013-14, which was no doubt a good winter, but also very frustrating when you're on the sidelines of a *historic* winter taking place just to your SW. And actually, if we can scrape together 3", we'll have more snow this winter than we did in 2013-14 anyways. '11-12 was my favorite and the only winter were if I was gone elsewhere I'd be bummed. Now I have colder or average temperatures and the same nothingness that 11-12 had permanently. This February wasn't too bad because there were more sunny days than last year IIRC. In fact sunny days aren't that common in my spot in Feb. Six more weeks of solid snow-storm climo, and with an icy Superior, probably another cold spring, super short summer with a light frost occurring in late August and then snow by October. Edit: right in your sig. 96.2" Yes. 96.2" was my backyard, Detroit had 94.9". But yes...it was INCREDIBLE. Records were smashed left and right for cold, snow, and snowdepth. Snow was blowing and drifting everyday with the relentless arctic winds. I had a whole records page of it.
