Starting to get some westerly wind now. Temp is 31.5. Should be a good finish next couple hours.

But Baltimore guy said this was just the run of the mill cold front.

Driving south from DC down 395 the progression was roughly:

Before 3:10 - all or almost all rain
3:15 - Flipped to mostly snow around Seminary Rd
3:35 - got home to SSW Franconia/Kingstowne, mulch and some grass accumulation

Now (4pm) - car has been topped, starting to stick to pavement

Expectations exceeded for south of town.

He's very consistent... in the wrong direction.

Just took the dog on a Jebwalk. Stunning outside right now. Just under 2 inches here. Still light snow. Here's a couple of shots I took. Please excuse the poor camera skills. Never have been good with a camera.

The I-70 overpass at MD 97 was caving on my way home.

That’s my neck of the woods.  Should be a fun ride home in an hour.

More subsidence approaching from the SE. I doubt we reach an inch if we can't get consistent SN or SN+, and it seems that the storm has been too lully here.

It's dumping in West Springfield/Burke.  Side roads have caved and even Old Keane Mill wasn't completely clear 15 minutes ago.  It's backed off a bit now to normal snowfall, so warmer surfaces are catching back up.

Snow Starting to stick on mulch in downtown DC. Streets and sidewalks and car tops still just wet.

Very nice event, will be nice to enjoy the arctic air with some fresh snowpack.  Also should help us get colder temps tomorrow night.

Side roads and parking lots getting kinda sporty. Kentlands Gaithersburg area.

That’s pretty close to me & our road is covered now.

Back home in Hanover and we're at MDT +  roads just starting to cave and a solid coating on the ground.  Interstates looked like parking lots from the over/underpasses.
