Based off DOT cams, it appears as though some steady but very light snow has started in Glen Echo, Cabin John and Potomac.

For the northern folks, the LWX 1.5° base reflectivity scan seems to show some echoes increasing to your west from Cascade MD through Taneytown...looks like the northern jackpot zone is beginning to take shape.

Fringe gang deathband building as usual. Sparky will have 4 inches on his deck by dusk.

I will say mid afternoon still does not allow it to stick down this way. Under moderate snow, 29.5 out and it refuses to stick to sidewalks, driveways and streets. Give it a couple hours and it’ll be a different story.

That LWX snow map is a little odd. Seems to shortchange southern MD a bit. DC won't get a foot if those areas are screwed.

The ZFP's got a lil odd... freezing rain and sleet was introduced down there so that is probably why

Snowing in Silver Spring, MD. Steady flurries...

Good to see stuff is making it to the ground quickly...even with the lighter returns.  12z RAOB from IAD only had a thin area of really dry air just below 850 mb so it shouldn't take too long to get rid of that.
