Beautiful. And...I'd almost be tempted to rip the cover off that (presumable!) firepit and sit out there in the snow and enjoy an IPA or three. Or bourbon. Or (fill in your favorite beer/spirit here).

That's my plan for tomorrow night!  Once it quit snowing!

Itll be a stout and/or winter lager.

18z fv3 qpf. Right or wrong it's the best run in the short range. We'll know tomorrow but the fv3 has been very steady leading in. Model might be pretty good for short range stuff.

Wonderful fire in the fire pit, grandson came by. Just had my mother’s funeral on Thursday so this is a spirit lifter.

Sorry for your loss. Enjoy the snow and whatever respite it brings.

I wouldn't focus too much on that one if I were you. Sounds like it's gonna take a bunch of stuff to go right to get something decent or significant out of it. Nothing's off the table yet, but I wouldn't pin my hopes on it just yet!

HRRR has about 0.3" of precip for DC. 3 or 4 inches seems reasonable for DC.

Stop trolling man. It’s a storm thread, and you’re not even close to being correct. Just stop.

Paved surfaces are white. Game on. 28.4/27. This is great. We will be attacked by moisture all night.

Congrats on the snow!

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Lost my mom in July and miss her very much. She didn’t particularly like snow, but she would always patiently listen to my crazy excitement over the latest snow forecasts and fantasy snow models.  I told my dad in Southern MD that he needed a snow blower this winter.  It was delivered today.

Lol sure you did :)

Lol. Really.  I finished taking everything else down today.  Saved the patio because tomorrow night I'm shoveling off the patio and enjoying my fire, snow, and Christmas lights I never got the chance to do this Christmas.

I apologize for saying 0.3" instead of 0.4". "Not even close".

Sure! Why the hell not?  :snowing:

(I lean towards Mt. Holly 70% of the time.)
