Where are you?

I’m 4 wheeling around in my Delorean in the year 2016. Where are you?

You do realize Beltway wasn't supposed to see onset of mod snow until this evening, right?

Save your keystrokes. Sno is trying to come to grips with getting more than 2" and is trying to will the snow away

For those who want to geek out... lol. Warm air advection precip moves in waves. Looks like ripples in the water on high res satellite. Cod site has cloudtop loop so you can track the waves. Dark blues and greens are usually the best precip because of best lift. Right now around and north of winchester has a good band and one is approaching I66

Check out this link

Some sort of lift localized west of Martinsburg.

You know how you can tell if you have a negative/pessimistic personality....you find something to complain about even though it is snowing and every model on earth gives you 6"+

As far as every flake sticking well that did not happen here. It wasn’t cold enough long enough for that.  The sun has set now and it’s stsrting to cover over.  Temps are always an issue even when they are not an issue.

This....exactly. But it's legit snow now as well. Down to 30.2. Just starting to glaze pavement the last few minutes.  Beautiful night. I suspect we will all get pulsed with lulls throughout the night until that main body of precipitation in Far Southwest Virginia and Tennessee can get here.

Latest RAP is loltastic...runs warning criteria snow right up to Trenton, NJ.  DC gets closed to a foot of snow. No way that happens.

The radar is pretty sound which is nice.  Not much of a break or lull.  Some of the earlier model runs had WAA snow, break, then waiting on something else.  Doesn’t seem to be the case.  Stars lined up on this one.  Enjoy.

Looks like Chuck posted the image above.  No way I'd buy that.  It would be a colossal forecasting bust from Baltimore to Philly if it was somehow right.

Some larger flakes ... still light though ... sidewalks beginning to coat over. Had a salt truck go by my rinky dink sidestreet about an hour ago. If they're salting my street, whatever must they be doing to the main arterials?

DCA somehow reporting SN- but it's 33°.  Terrible place for an observing station.

I am right by DCA and am having very light flakes now. Can see it on the top of cars.
