You know it's going to be weird when the NAM goes away in a few years. You'll have the FV3 and the HRRR, and that's really going to be it.

Will will be waxing poetic, pulling event dates out of his head, when the old ETA had a few coups back in the day.

When I lived in Ithaca and it snowed like every other day, it became unbearable after a while. I was starving for big synoptic storms after a couple months and I'll I get was currier and Ives crap that gave like 1-3".

Granted, at least Stowe gets those bigger synoptic storms way more frequently but even the 8" LES events seemed so fake...I'd sneeze and the walkway would be clear.

All work and no play makes Will a dull boy.

I bet somebody will run it from their basement.

My 4 years there (1965-69) featured what you say but also some epic events.   11/5/68, 1/31/66, many others.

Old online video games sometimes live on for years after their developers pull the plug. People run them from private servers.

Maybe someone can cobble together an old Cray system from the 1970s and run it on that...

You have a lot of people running their own WRFs already. I say cremate the NAM and sprinkle it in the backyard at NCEP.

I mean he has luxury of reporting to a mtn every day that is night and day from stowe  village. Stowe village gets nickel and dimed...but the mtn just crushed as we knoo

I’ll take one of those condos as Bolton at 2200’ and be fine with 225”

Haha.  This is no Ithaca up here, not even close.  Plenty of synoptic snows and being on the east slope have decent CAD and those synoptic storms have good upslope assist with the SE flow ahead of most of them.

Now the western slope is more like what Will is describing.  They get higher ratio fluff than here and also downslope on SE flow...so can often be screwed in synoptic storms.  They get the 50-60mph winds along with 30% of the QPF while here on the east side it's calm and dumping in anything with Atlantic moisture moving inland.

We had a stretch in 2015 where it was synoptics sprinkled in with Stowe flakes. Every whale fart s/w that moved through blew up 1-2" unexpectedly.

Best wishes.  I took off 60 pounds last year and nothing feels better.  Commit to it and it will happen.  Try not to stay up all night salivating over day 10 H5 GFS  or late night Euro runs and get off routine.

I dropped like 60 junior yr of HS and never looked back. Marined 3 yrs later.

Yeah honestly that looks like it could be a spreadsheet from Mansfield during a snowy stretch.

I know man my bad. I’ll never see it again so excuse me while I’m pants less and posting that. That was the guy in Hingham.

I’m just kidding. It was a little different than your 15, but I got the same feeling from 07-08 up here.
