So we have moderate rain right now, temperature is starting to fall, it looks almost ready to mix. I can see it on the radar too. I bet it changes around 4 or 5. Guess there still is time to make a call but with the later snow start, and blizzard conditions, I don't see how kids will be able to be picked up at 7 am, especially in rural areas (few miles west of where I am in Kane County). Weirdly, we've had no closings yet either. All we've seen down here is over in Missouri, they're starting Hannibal-LaGrange late. People really have not been prepared enough for this storm... Iowa City has had reports of 6-8". Not sure I've seen a cutoff that sharp before. sbnwx85 Posted November 25, 2018 Share Posted November 25, 2018 I was a little worried about being dry slotted here but last few runs of HRRR and RAP keep the dry slot filled in with rain changing to snow in full force by 7z or 8z.
