Looks like 1” or more at home per my wife’s pictures with sleet mixing back in.

Question for all of us now is whether we get a switch back to snow with that strong frontogenesis band in a couple hours before switching to rain.

when does that pass about for DC?

5:45am:  34 and Overcast.
6:00am:  34, lite rain began.
6:15am:  33.8  sleet w/a bit of rain mixed in.
7:30am:  32.8  snow, some sleet -- deck, mulch and cartops whitened.
8:15am:  Changeover complete to all-snow, some moderate.
9:15am:  30.6  Mod sleet mixed with a little snow. Main roads wet and slick w/ a little  slush.  Side streets and grass have whitened.

Man. What a win for the entire area for mid November! Gorgeous out here this morning. A winter wonderland in November. No one can b**ch on this board until mid January now :)

Absolutely beautiful out! Hard to believe it's only November 15th. This is going to be an epic winter! I'm positive EastCoast NPZ will find something to b**ch about though....

Curious about that as well. Most models now show snow through noon or 1 pm and heavy snow at that, but it's not looking good at the moment.

At least the sleet will continue to accumulate on the roads, and it should be moderate to heavy sleet for at least a few hours, if not longer.

PWS near my house still has room to cool based on the dew point. Should be below freezing for a few more hours at the surface at least.
