Waiting for that last minute tick north to make this weekend an I70 special. :weenie:

I have a feeling it may tick south & dry air wins out. 2-3 probably a good call.

I know the euro op was weak sauce for the day 10 threat but the eps has an unusually strong signal around days 8-10 for a nice hits (around next weekend).   Lots of pornographic ensemble members still showing up.

I make this post every year, next weekend the 19th is the Old Man's/Ash Cave Annual Winter Hike in Hocking county the state puts on and right now there is zero snow and ice formations.  This is our 30th year in a row renting a big cabin/lodge and we wish every year to get snowed in while we're there (i.e. we get back to Dayton/work when we get back)! lol  PS - we missed by 1 day back in Jan of '96 as that years big storm hit the Monday after we got home and dumped 2ft in Hocking county that would have been perfect!

Guess I'm the only one not excited. Hard to get excited about 1-3" of snow. Unless you live in Southwest Ohio this looks to be a dud. Hope not, but that's the way it looks to me as of now. 0z nam gives a 2" across most of central Ohio.

OP NAM has been killing the snow much faster than any of the other models. 0z 3K NAM has 4-5" for central OH and up to 6" my way. 0z RGEM which only goes to 48 hours is very 3k like. Seems a good bet OP NAM is shutting off snows to quick.

12z Euro and 06z NAM are much better for central OH. But man, the precip really hits a brick wall.

I keep telling myself the trend is our friend.

Think you mean 0z Euro

Most models held agreement and held steady overnight and it looks like the HRRR 36hr 0z came north a tad to agree with the rest. I’m confident in a solid 2 inches for us now. Winter weather advisory is up for 2-6 inches

Looking for a slight north trend but not seeing it. I think I'm going to be too far NE to get into the good stuff. Buckeye and the rest of you south and west of me have a good chance of seeing a decent thumping.

Yep. You, Steve and myself all looking at 2-3" per most models. Nothing really to write home about. Hopefully it holds together a little longer to get us in some good stuff, but at this point I'd say 2-3, anything extra is just a bonus. Columbus and points west I'd guess up to 6"

Amazing how quickly this thing falls apart once it's in OH.

Yeah. Weakens then gets shredded. Where we are, hoping it overperforms, won't be surprised if it underperforms though with every model tearing it to shreds fairly quickly once it reaches central Ohio. Can only hope for the best lol.

Thanks. Appreciate it. 3k was better. Puts us in 4-6" range. Significant tick up from op. After recent winters I've become a pessimist lol.

Been laying low... don't trust this storm at all... Just seems to dry up the further east it goes...:lmao::lmao:

Agreed. Big bust potential. I think 2-4 is still safe call.

Good example of how the "northwest trend" effects cutters or as I call it, the back building bias hurting Ohio. The inverted trough will be further west in peak intensity. Not like we didn't know that earlier, but Ohio is going to get hurt. Probably 3-5 max over southwest ohio, 1-3 over the rest. Good luck to snowlover, he is in the best spot.

I'm not so sure about a 3-5 max in SW OH. I am 3 miles from the OH border and a lot of the models are showing around 6 here. West Central OH is under a Winter Storm Warning for 4 to 7 inches.

So our WWA just went from 3 to 5 inches to  3- 6 inches.. yes not a huge difference but it is a slight upward tick..keep it coming!!

Granted, I am mean trimming a bit. I think ratios won't be that great and southwest ohio may get dry slotted for awhile while the heavier stuff fades as it moves into west central/central ohio.
