Has anybody seen reports from Calhoun/Liberty/interior Gulf counties?  Have to think it is pretty bad there. Though since this was only a Cat1 I'm sure its fine actually.

Sorry to link to a tabloid, but Daily Mail usually does have a huge collection of images/videos/etc.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6263099/Hurricane-Michael-pounds-Florida-Panhandle-officially-worst-hit-region.html

"Hurricane Michael wrecks Florida Panhandle, blitzes every home in its path and kills at least two - officially becoming worst EVER to hit the region"

Love Daily Mail lol

Palm City? When I type that in Google Maps it takes me to a spot on the southern peninsula east of Lake Okeechobee. No way Michael affected that area.

Sorry, Panama city. I was tired

Some of the EMAC missions being requested from Florida are for 46 day deployments.  For perspective, the average deployment length is 14 - 18 days.  Even during last year's busy season, you didn't see requests for deployments that long.

Some pictures from Cape San Blas. Frankly, it's not as bad as I was expecting.

Be glad it's not the town NW of you.

Yeah, the pictures and video from Mexico Beach is why I was expecting CSB to be worse than it looks in those pics.

And just to be clear, that wasn't my Facebook post. It's one I found searching for pictures of the damage on CSB.

The damage I'm seeing around Mexico Beach reminds me most of Camille, like a giant tornado.

ETA: With a relatively short-lived (and very powerful) surge, and major damage for miles inland.

I had devices recording air pressure in 2 hotels in Panama City. BLUE min was 939.7 mb at 12:45 pm in W eyewall. BLUE did not get in eye. BLACK min was 923.2 mb at 12:44 pm, in W edge of eye. That’s 16.5 mb difference over ~3.7 n mi. Sick inner core gradient. #Hurricane #MICHAEL

Public Information Statement
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
825 PM EDT Wed Oct 10 2018 /725 PM CDT Wed Oct 10 2018/

...NEW ALL-TIME LOW SEA LEVEL PRESSURE RECORD SET AT PANAMA
CITY FLORIDA TODAY...

PANAMA CITY FLORIDA (PAM) OBSERVATION SEA LEVEL PRESSURE FELL TO
922.4 MB AT 120 PM EDT TODAY. THIS BREAKS THE PREVIOUS RECORD
LOWEST SEA LEVEL PRESSURE OF 979.1 MB DURING HURRICANE KATE ON
NOVEMBER 21 1985.

That's a record I hope never gets broken.

Haven't heard about the towns E/SE of Panama City, including Calloway, Parker, Springfield. Given what we has seen from the limited pictures in Panama City, I imagine these areas also have extensive wind damage.
