Kind of puts things into perspective when our area is in a relative cool zone compared to the rest of the country and yet we're still seeing a top ten warmest May.

This was our 18th top ten warmest month for local stations following our last top 10 coldest in February 2015. So we are running 18 to 1 in favor of top 10 warmth since then. NYC is 13 to1 since February 2015.

Torrential rain this morning caused widespread flooding in Nassau county, roads closed and made my drive to court a nightmare

Wantagh only measured .58".   I dont believe that's accurate and it's not tje first time I've questioned their rain gauge.

FRG had 1.33" which seems much more in line with what fell.

Yea, that seems about right. Hempstead Turnpike was closed due to flooding, really a mess out there.
