But suppression is every bit as real now as mid winter and for those folks who go back and cross reference big April snows in nyc and philly there are several events that were modest or missed much of the area

In recent memory 2003 comes to mind...yeah yeah yeah it was a solid event nyc and li but forecasts of up to a foot of snow and blizzard conditions were forecast pretty far north until that afternoon when the sun was shining through the cirrus in northern ct only to later receive 2 inches of grass/car topper later

If this pattern was truly that great there would be a bowling ball scooting off the delmarva and crawling ne from there or a Miller A producing widespread from dc to boston but all of these events are fragmented with small stripes of big snows etc with very little margin for error

This is why the wavelength argument makes me crazy lol
