Hello, Mid June in Mid April. We do humid like a Boss.

Storm is going negative tilt, Maryland is going to get annihilated by torrential rain - and lots of it. They may get more than what is forecast, lol.

Rush preparations on your Arks to completion.

DCA picked up 1.45 in two hours at 4 am.

The gauge at Four Mile Run says it got about 1.6 inches in that period.

Cameron Run briefly exceeded flood stage (are there any fish on the Beltway?)

Accotink Creek IS above flood stage (Woodyard Road is blocked at the stream)

People using the express lanes on I-95/I-395 are being forced back onto the northbound main lanes because of standing water.

I-66 east:  people are diverted off at exit 72.

I-66 west-bound:  From DC, people get diverted into Rosslyn.

I-295 Northbound: high standing water under Benning Road.

GW parkway northbound from Old Town:  Blocked/diverted at the marina south of DCA (use Rt 1 to get to DCA instead)

More in MD (including lanes blocked on I-495 and the BW parkway)

3.28 inches of rain here! Shatters old mark of 2.01 from 1987. All creeks and rivers either in flood or action stage, and still going up. Temp is 43.4/39.6, looking up on the tops of ridges they are blocked from view, appears to be snowing above 3000 ft. Highest wind from event was the 51 mph gust at 5:43 pm yesterday.

1.84" in my back yard.

What was really neat to see though was yesterday. My daughter had a horse show in Millwood, VA yesterday and the entire time I was there, from 6:30am - 12:30pm, it was sunny and breezy in the upper 60's. We saw some clouds building from the SE but they never really moved towards us. When we packed up and left to head back to Round Hill as we were approaching the mountain crossover we noticed the low hanging clouds and wind pick up. Got on the other side of the crossover to the barn and the weather changed dramatically. Cooler temps overcast spitting rain. It was like being in two different climates. :)
